St. X traveled up to Cleveland today and lost to St. Ignatius.

Thirty points against St. X.?!? Unless there were a lot of turnovers and/or returns that led to easy TD's for St. Ignatius, that is very impressive. St. X.'s defense has controlled or shutdown every other team they played. I know Highlands racked up some yards but they only put 12 points on the board.

St. Ignatius is one of the top High School Football programs in the country for the last 30 years. Losing to them 30-21 is doing a darn good job.

I agree with that. No doubt a loss to St. Iggy is not even an upset. But X has not allowed more than 13 points to any other team and St. Iggy put up 30. I think that is impressive by St. Iggy.

St. Ignatius is the defending state champion. From a playoff perspective, that game meant nothing to X. Win, lose, no matter. They are a lock for the playoffs and a lock to host a game in round 1. The real game that matters is next Saturday at UC when they take on Moeller for the GCL and city title.

Why is it that when St. X gets beat you say the game didn't mean anything to them??? (Highlands,St. Ignatius). When the prediction thread of the HHS./Cincy X game came out ,you talked like they were the best team in the country. That was after trashing Lou. X and Trinity. Remember when you said "the Birdies will get there's too". You should be glad the Birds didn't play Colerain this year,the Cardinals would have come out flat just like X!!!

HHS had 3 turnovers inside St. X 10 yard line. The score of HHS/St X game could have easily been 30-7 and remember the 7 points came in the last min of game. To say St X even came close to shutting down HHS is silly.
