Mayfield should come out of there as they're home throughout the playoffs in addition to being the best team. I think Crittenden will knock off Holy Cross in the semis, as well, and setup a rematch with the Cards...

They definitely appear to be the clear favorite.

Few things...

 

1) Mayfield should cruise.

 

2) This is example #1 of how terrible the 6 class system is. All 4 of these games require the visitor to travel at least 3+ hours.

You are right, the old system wasn't broken, what we have now is definitely not a fix.

I hated the old system! I always had to lose against Newcath or Beechwood the very first round! If things were like this back then Raceland would probably have a regional championship and a state runnerup.

Although the driving is a bit of a pain. If we beat Lynn Camp we have to make a 4 hour drive to Campbellsville.

As for the region outlook. Mayfield will emerge to face Beechwood for a much anticipated game:thumb:

Unless Fulton City goes 1980 US Hockey team on Holy Cross, then yes, Crittenden is on the road in the second round (also assuming Crittenden wins Round 1).
