Featured Replies

No it was a cheap shot because he left his FEET and went head hunting...... those who do not believe it was cheap I wonder if they ever played.

That makes no sense. It was a terrible hit.

So if he hits him like that as/after the ball arrives, then is it still a cheap shot?

I agree, it's a cheap shot, but only due to the timing of the hit.

Whether you played or not has no bearing on the debate.

Yes leaving your feet head hunting is a cheap shot regardless in my book.

Is there really any debate about this? It was clearly a cheap shot.

We agree it's a cheap shot.

But disagree on the circumstances. Watch the video again, he hit him in the shoulder, not the head.

So my answer my question, if the PR catches the ball and a split second later is hit like that, is that a cheap shot/penalty?

No debate, it was a cheap shot.

He went after the mans head... I did like seeing the Bucs go after the guy.

We had a kid at Male a couple of years ago had his hand up for a fair catch and this played came right at him. Missed the season and part of the next,,JV game. A guy could really get hurt or even worse. Bad play.

We agree it's a cheap shot.

He left his feet in a sling-shot effect like way and was going to hit him regardless if the ball was there or not.

I will say the same thing I say in my youth football league. Football is a game of of controlled violence. We must control the violence so that we can play the game.

We agree it's a cheap shot.

I'm with you, after he catches it without a fair catc, it's fair game. No different than a safety leaving his feet to seperate the wr from the ball, that's football. The timing was terrible on this hit and that made it cheap

At what point in time did you see him catch it?

At what point in time did you see him catch it?

That's not what he said. He is saying if the guy had caught it then he is fair game. The timing was bad and it made it a cheap shot.
