I think this will be one of the better games in NKY. I've seen both teams this year and I think Bellvue will put up a good fight. Beechwood will pull out though.

Good one. I got a chuckle out of that reply. I posted that in reply to the earlier post that tradition isn't going to win the game and my point is there are still a lot of players playing for Beechwood that have won championships so it isn't just tradition - it is experience.

IMO, if it gets muddy it only improves Bellevue's chances.

Bellevue works in the mud and dirt all year. Beechwood works out on the artificial turf all year. Bellevue will be more accustomed to taking the shorter steps for blocking and cuts because of that.

 

Plus, Bellevue, Mr. Buckler especially has proven the past 2 weeks that in no way are they slowed down when things get sloppy.

Bellevue boys are mudders.

I watched the Tigers on ICN 6 and they have a huge line and some kids who will hit ya. Buckler is very quick and hits the hole hard and fast. I have also seen the Beechies this year and they have a lot of speed and a very good QB in Rigdon who can run. I wasnt impressed with Beechwood's passing game though so if the Tigers can contain Rigdon and not let Vocke get loose on punt returns or KO returns they should keep it close with a chance to win in the 4th qtr.

I think that Bellevues weakness this game will be their specials teams game. They cant afford to give Beechwood good field position or it might cost them this week.

Mud will hurt the speed of BW, but not hurt the speed of Buckler...makes no sense.

 

It surely seems that scrimmaging two 6A schools and playing three 5A schools has really helped BW in a couple of different ways. They took their lumps, licked their wounds, and now people think they are "out of the picture" because of those losses. If Rash would have scheduled lighter and won the first 3 games big...they would still be ranked #1 in the state and favored to win...with this exact same "down year" team. Are they the best, probably not, but it's the perception people have due to the first 3 games of the season. Ya gotta love it!
