BigCountryBoy Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Heard the score was Gallatin up 7-6 late in the 3rd. What happened?
footballhd Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Dang, surprise, Gallatin up 7-6 late in third if true!
Lakers22 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Gallatin outplayed Frankfort for 3 quarters. GC threw an interception that led to Frankfort's score. Air went out of their sails after that. The game was still close until late in the 4th and then Frankfort socred 3 times with less than 5 minutes to play. The game was much closer than the final score. Obviously, you must play the entire game, but Frankfort had to be nervous going into the 4th quarter.
Mack The Knife Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Do not understand why Frankfort did not take a knee when leading 18-7 with just over a minute to play in the game. Must be points within the division.:idunno:
CoachBuckett Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Disapointed in the lack of focus in the Panthers tonight. Coach Foley should have to do up downs before the game when the District title is on the line. Don't understand why so many fumble snaps 9 weeks into the season. This type of play isn't good enough come playoff time. Credit to GC, the played hard and aggressive.

Tru B 33 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Well it wasn't a minute to go, Frankfort's Zach Mason scored with about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter to make it 24-7. I mean when the hole is there whlat is the running back to do? Run out of bounds? With that said, Gallitan took the ball losing 24-7. Now you may ask why Frankfort run the score up again? Gallitan's QB threw and interception that was returned for about 40 yards for a Touchdown by Frankfort's Kaleb Leach. Frankfort did not try to run the score up, they were satisfied with the 18-7 I'm pretty sure, but anyways if Gallitan had of won 30-7 I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be hearing "why did Gallitan run the score up?". Good effort by Gallitan, they have improved a lot. Panther's, was not too impressed, shouldn't have been 7-6 at half-time. Please make Trimble County game more dominate. Frankfort 6-2. Good Luck Frankfort...and also Gallitan
Lakers22 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 There was 2:22 left in the game when Frankfort got a first down inside the 5. A polite option is to take a knee 4 times and run out the clock. They chose to run the ball and they scored. I don't think they were running up the score, but they did not take the polite option. Gallatin did give up another quick score with an interception. Throwing the ball would have been rubbing your face in the ground. Frankfort wasn't rude: they weren't polite either. Just an opinion.
GC Wildcats Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 (edited) Gallatin coaching staff gave up not the players because Gallatin backed up on Frankforts goal line and they decide to go for it 4 and 27 . Edited October 17, 2009 by Ram Rule 13

First let me say GC is a solid team. The kids play hard and have no quit. GC went for it on 4th and 27, they turned the ball over on downs inside the 5 yard line. By going for it on 4th it tells me that GC was still trying to win. Which they should have been. Taking a knee 4 times would have gave GC the ball bake with about 45 seconds to go. The coaches talked about taking a knee. But GC had 2 timeouts as well. So GC could have gotten the ball back with more than 45 seconds if they used the time outs. So maybe GC should have waved the white flag by punting on 4th and 27 instead of going for it.
oldonetechnique Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 FHS Ran the ball, stop them if you don't want them to score, FHS has handled adversity all year they deserve to get success whether is in the last 30 seconds or not! I believe with the Trimble loss FHS locks up the district title correct?
logdog43 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Gallatin County's coaching staff under Tim Browning's leadership, will NEVER give up on a game, a play, a kid...any kid; especially when a kid might give up on himself.
