No Christmas Tree at the White House

Talked with a gentlemen this morning. He was very serious when he said there would not be a seasonal Christmas tree at the White House this year.

 

There will be lights but no tree, what do you think ?

Might just be that religious ornaments are banned, which is something that has been in effect for a couple of years now.

This reminds me of that age old game "telephone". You know...someone at one end says something to the person next to them, who in turn tells the person next to them, and by the time you get to the end, what the last person hears bears little resemblence to what the first person actually said. :lol:

The guy is associate pastor at a baptist church in the community. He was dead serious. Personally I find that hard to believe. Although when I was single in my mid 20's I didn't have a tree either.

I don't really picture this guy as internet guru. I'm not saying he never uses it but he don't strike me as that type. My guess is if he was on the internet and researched. His feelings might be different. I guess we will all know soon enough.

I don't look at it as a deal that adds to the national debt or anything like that. I also said that I have been GUILTY of not having a Christmas tree. From all the stuff one can get from TV or the internet who knows what to believe anymore. I'm not a fan of politicians period. Yes, there is a left wing and a right wing. Fact of the matter...its the same bird !

Once a person gets to Washington the money gets to them and there no longer the same person. They become corrupt and puppets to the money trail. Those that elected them are no longer heard. The lobbyist take over. Thats my opinion. :idunno:
