That's how I see it too except I haven't seen any better in all of KY than Roller.

Ditto. His performance is even more impressive in light of how far he had to, and has, come back this year. It really shows the desire needed to play college football at a high level.

Ditto on that, and based upon how much his play has improved since the beginning of the season, I suspect that come playoff time you'll see a whole other level. It looks to me that his mobility continues to improve every week.:thumb:

Lamar Dawson would definitely have to be in the discussion. There may be some seniors better right now, but I would think he would be the best Junior in the state. He is already receiving interest from UK, Notre Dame and Arkansas. I'm sure there a ton of other schools but those are the three I have heard that are showing the strongest interest. Scary thing is he should only be a sophomore but skipped a grade when he was younger. The kid is very intelligent in the classroom and on the football field.

 

I have also heard there is great LB playing for Madison Southern. Obviously they have had a hard time winning games the past couple of years, but I have heard a few different people say he is one of the most talented players they have seen around and if he were at a bigger football school the offers would be coming in by the dozens. Anyone know who this kid is or can back this story up?

Lamar IMO will make All-State at linebacker. Maybe not the best, but not far from it as a JR.

Wasn't Lamar the only sophomore in the state last year on some type of All-State team? Seems I remember hearing this but I don't know for sure.

Another junior linebacker that could be added to the list is Nate Letton of Lexington Catholic.

Preseason Tim patterson was considered the best in Ky. We haven't heard much about him since the season started. What do you think, is Tim still the best? Your thoughts?

 

Central doesn't report all of there stats. I know Tim has had a solid season on both sides of the ball. Just a few weeks ago ST.X Coach said Tim was very dominate football player. Tim IMO still should be the top player in the sate. He has done nothing to hurt his pre season hype.

Although he is just a Freshman...Jonathan Jackson from Mayfield will be a kid to keep an eye on as a tough middle linebacker...already he is leading the team in tackles and was the 1st freshman in Mayfield history to record over 20 tackles in a single game this year. Tough, hard nosed, and loves to stick his shoulder in your midsection and drive you to the ground.

 

Like I said he is just a freshman...but a player for everyone to keep their eyes on in the coming years.

I just saw someone's facebook status stating that Lamar Dawson was offered by UK today. We all know how reliable facebook statuses are:rolleyes:, but he went to Notre Dame this past weekend as a guest to Notre Dame for the USC game and he mentioned on his facebook page that he may go visit Cincinnati as well.

The kid from Bryan Station - Crutcher I believe is supposed to be a stud!

 

Their middle backer Kris Bolton should be in the discussion, I think he is somewhere around 80-90 tackles on the year through 8 games. He is as good a 4-3 MLB as i've seen in a while.

BALLARD-Drew Hardin (IU commit). Great player...even better person and student.

 

...also, his 'little' brother Flo (6'1, 205; 4.51 40 at UK Camp); actually leads our team in tackles. Also great player, great person, great student...and only a JUNIOR!
