I haven't seen him enough to answer that. I am not impressed with his arm strength in what I have seen. And of course it depends on your DB's covering one on one if you are selling out to stop the run. But he does have over 1,000yards throwing and 58% accuracy so SK is definitely not a run only team, if that answers your question.

I think the lost to Henry Clay will keep haunting SK as far as rankings. Henry Clay only beat a winless Madison Central by two touchdowns last week. I believe NC handled Madison Central without a lot of trouble.

Perhaps, but I'm kind of glad that it happened, SK's been very impressive since that loss to Henry Clay.

It's not 1994 Boone County if that is what you are asking. I'm not sure that he could beat you w/ his arm. However, his scrambling ability is very good, and he can throw on the run, so any getting out of rush lanes could be taken advantage of. I believe that he is SK's second leading rusher and is a very quick decision maker on the option read. It's tough to say if he could throw it all around w/out the benefit of the running game b/c he hasn't had to yet. Additionally, he hasn't played a team near Trinity's level either. However, the teams that he has played have been pulverized.

One thing about Lawrence is his decision making ability. He manages a pretty good game.

The reason I ask this is because many times we hear about all the great running games in NKY big schools and are also told "If you sell out on the run, we can beat you with the pass" and it has never happened. Ryle, Boone County and Simon Kenton all have said things of that nature and never managed to deliver. That is why I asked.

Many of your points are dead on. For many, many years most of the big schools in NKY have thought that the word "pass" is a four letter word. It has been painful to watched. Four yards and a cloud of dust. PAINFUL. Anyway, having watched and coached I can tell you that this years SK is the best 6A team to come out of NKY in a long, long time. It would be a hugh mistake for anyone to think this team will be like all the rest. But I guess we will find out in three weeks. :dancingpa

SK's pass offense last season was abysmal. If they had to pass you had to pray for a completion. This season, I feel fairly confident when they pass the skin. I'm interested in their first round game, I'm assuming that Manual will beat Butler and if they do, what does Butler bring to the table?
