Anderson gets job

Featured Replies

From what I've heard Mangini wanted to start Anderson from the beginning. Why didn't he name Anderson the starter, maybe because he's a 2nd round pick and a local favorite but apparently can't throw the ball down field. The Browns are in bad shape, and I hope the Bengals take advantage of their weakened prey.

The Browns are terrible! The worst part is they are like the Bengals. They don't want either QB but they passed on trading both for 1st round picks. I think he wanted Anderson to start. I heard Edwards was questioning even after he and Quinn worked all summer. Anderson has shown he can make plays his problem is that he is terrible about making dumb decisions. Quinn is in that typical change coaches, systems, Qb's problem that NFL teams never learn from. See J. Russell, Couch, Carr etc. When there is not much talent around and you change coaches good luck developing a young guy. Look at the young guys successful...Flacco great run game + defense...Ryan great run game and other weapons...Sanchez great run game + defense see the common things here..

How is that anything like the Bengals?

I think it's a safe bet that Mangini will draft "his guy" for the QB position next year.

Anderson is awful, Quinn is slightly worse, so it really doesn't matter which one plays.

He was a Pro Bowler player 2 years ago, give him time.

Dont think he actually got voted to the pro bowl. He only went/ played because Brady backed out after that Super Bowl loss to the Giants.

Quinn is just awful. I don't care how young he is.

Am I the only one who thinks, "Dang! How'd an old basketball guy get that job?"

 Derek Anderson's a well known name in Louisville....not for UK, though.

He has been a pro bowler for one year in his career. Lets not act like he has always been this great QB and just has lost it for a little bit.
