September 30, 200917 yr Author Over the last two weeks against the juggernauts of Kansas City and Denver... 19/45 (42.2%) 85 ypg (3.8 ypa) 2 Int He was 12/21 for 61 yards against Denver...that's less than 3 yards per attempt. Heck, that's barely over 5 yards per completion. :ohbrother::idunno:
September 30, 200917 yr JaMarcus Russell = It makes me so angry to know that Mr. Davis has staked the future of the franchise on this $61M clown. Later.
September 30, 200917 yr Russell isn't intelligent enough to be a starting NFL QB. He has the tools but not the brains.
September 30, 200917 yr Author Russell isn't intelligent enough to be a starting NFL QB. He has the tools but not the brains. When will NFL GM's stop drafting, and investing their franchise, in tools. Anyone who watched Russell during his days at LSU should have known he wasn't capable of being a good starting QB in the NFL, much less a franchise player. I doubt they'll re-sign Garcia. Davis is basically forcing Cable to play Russell right now. He cut Garcia the first time so he wouldn't threaten the job. There's no other explanation for it. Interestingly, I read an article that said Oakland had to play Russell because the backup was Gradkowski, but I say Gradkowski is the best QB on the team right now. The worst thing, for Raiders fans, is that they could very well be a playoff team with a decent QB. Put Garcia in there and this team would absolutely be a contender to win the AFC West. Awful. Just awful.

September 30, 200917 yr Jeff Garica is a free agent, Oakland must sign him! Don't think that's gonna happen, we already released him once. :idunno: Later.
September 30, 200917 yr He's terrible. IF he improves greatly, he may become "terrible" one day. He's not at that level yet. Biggest QB bust since Ryan Leaf and I predict he'll exceed Leaf before it's all said and done.

September 30, 200917 yr Russell had one good game in college against a horrible Notre Dame defense and he turned it in to a big pay day. When your best asset is that you have a "cannon for an arm", chances are you are not going to succeed in the NFL.

When your best asset is that you have a "cannon for an arm", chances are you are not going to succeed in the NFL. Reminds me of a former Bengal QB - Akili Smith. Intelligence seems to be a pretty important component in the makeup of a QB. Funny how so many GM's seem to miss this point.

Biggest QB bust since Ryan Leaf and I predict he'll exceed Leaf before it's all said and done. In fairness to JaMarcus, he was not a highly thought of QB coming out of college. He just happened to be drafted where he was because it was Al Davis drafting him. Anyone could see JaMarcus did not have much of a chance to be a good QB.
