September 30, 200916 yr Author I give you guys lots of credit. I am unable to watch a game and know how smart a qb is. More power to you guys. I don't know if he's intelligent or not...and I've never said otherwise. What he hasn't shown the ability to do is think fast, which is a must for an NFL QB. He could be a genius for all I know. The two are related, but not the same. My guess is that you wouldn't be able to process things as fast as QB's have to if you weren't fairly intelligent. Conversely, I think being intelligent doesn't automatically mean you can read, recognize and react on the split second level that QB's are required to do. That's my thoughts on Russell. Whether he's smart or not is irrelevant to me. He's not a starter quality NFL QB and I'll be surprised if he ever is.
September 30, 200916 yr That was Vince Young.:lol: My bad, wrong dummy... What did he score?
September 30, 200916 yr Okay at first I was willing to give the guy a chance to improve himself after the first game, but it turns out that that first game was his BEST game. He has just gotten steadily worse. He still has the rest of the year to improve but whether or not that happens, I extremely doubt it.
September 30, 200916 yr I think he'd make a decent tight end, if he could remember the routes. He could be another Derrick Ramsey at TE.......IF.....as you stated spindoc.:thumb:
September 30, 200916 yr Author My bad, wrong dummy... What did he score? Six? That's the number that comes to mind, but I wouldn't swear to it.
October 1, 200916 yr Reminds me of a former Bengal QB - Akili Smith. Intelligence seems to be a pretty important component in the makeup of a QB. Funny how so many GM's seem to miss this point. Aliki at least had a few games that were commendable, but Russell may be the worst NFL QB of ALL TIME! Way to go Al!:idunno:
October 3, 200916 yr I don't think they'll be getting Garcia back  Here is a little insight as to what really happened: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4528142
