September 27, 200916 yr Like being brought into a thread I hadn't even responded in? I showed up here, admitted I was wrong about the game which is more than I can say for most. You won't get any excuses from me. The better team won yesterday. The team with the better game plan won. Miami is overrated and if it were up to me we would drop out of top 25 after yesterday, though that's not going to happen probably. Tech threw 9 passes that is pathetic that they could run away with the game. 9 passes! Load up and stop the run. Stopping the run is about want to, and its pathetic to let a team that is that one sided just have a field day. You responded on post #22 at 12:04 am this morning. :thumb:
September 27, 200916 yr You responded on post #22 at 12:04 am this morning. :thumb: My response was to being called out, which my name first appeared at 7:45pm last night. Which happened before I even had a chance to get home. It's no big deal, I had alot of crow to eat either way. I just took it like you guys were saying I wouldn't post anything. Absolutely not. When I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it. I expect everyone else involved to do the same.
September 27, 200916 yr If what VPI did to UC in the Orange Bowl was domination, what do we call this??? Domination as well. What does it matter though? None of the three matter in the MNC race. UC will get beat as soon as they play someone. Heck, I'll call USF today to get them.
September 27, 200916 yr Last night still stings a bit, huh??? You have no idea. I've only made it through the first half of the game today (watching it from DVR), and though I know what's going to happen it's still killing me. Virginia Tech came out to play smashmouth football. They hit Miami in the mouth and continued their assault for the entire game. The defensive line got dominated, the LB's and DB's tried to tackle by the shoulder pads. Offensively, it's just frustratiing. Take over on a bad snap on a punt inside the redzone, drop a pass, get nothing from the run game, and then take a sack. It was pathetic. As good as VT had played in the first half, Miami still had a chance to make it a game, they just couldn't make the plays. They just got out muscled. I don't care to get beat, but this is embarrassing. Two inexcusable plays let the game get out of hand in the first half, even though VT dominated it. Miami made some huge mistakes and VT took advantage. The U looked like they have the last few years, I don't think that anyone played well. I don't know that I have ever been more ashamed of a Miami team. You cannot add to the fact with stupid plays, especially when you are on the road against a team that is always going to play well against you.
September 28, 200916 yr Jacory's Heisman hopes just faded like your favorite pair of jeans. Looks like the return of the traditional powers was a little premature...Miami and Florida State still have some work to do. I'm buying Miami. I'm selling Florida State.
September 29, 200916 yr The ACC is rediculous. Someone needs to just take control of that confrence. Shows they are still a ways away from being up there with the SEC, Big 12, or Pac 10.
September 30, 200916 yr The ACC is rediculous. Someone needs to just take control of that confrence. Shows they are still a ways away from being up there with the SEC, Big 12, or Pac 10. How does a loss within the conference show that? VaTech is a pretty good football team and they're especially tough at home. Florida State was just getting overhyped like they do pretty much every year now.
