September 27, 200916 yr Here is the part that disturbs me about Kentucky - give this exact same roster to Urban Meyer and Kentucky wins 9-10 games. He would put Cobb at QB and run a spread option that would be difficult to stop. Kentucky just doesn't play to its strengths at all. UK and most fans seem to be content with just being decent and make a low bowl game every year. Brooks did a good job bringing the program back up from how bad it was. However we will never be anymore than just decent with him and Joker running the program. Its nice seeing UK win these bowl games, but why stop there. No reason to be content with these things like most people seem to be.
September 27, 200916 yr UK knocks Tebow out of the game and can't even close the gap at all. That's crazy...

September 27, 200916 yr How many times has Hartline thrown the ball over the receivers head by about 10' tonight?
September 27, 200916 yr Bob Davie saying that JOker is the answer is all I need to know about the future. It's time to get scared Big Blue Nation.

September 27, 200916 yr Bob Davie saying that JOker is the answer is all I need to know about the future. It's time to get scared Big Blue Nation. I agreed with his "boxed in" comment. I've never liked the coach-in-waiting philosophy. Has it ever worked? I've always thought, what if Brooks (or any head coach for that matter) retired after this season. For some odd reason Urban Meyer (or Pete Carroll, or Nick Saban, etc.) decided they wanted a new challenge and left their team. Do you honestly want to be completely tied down and committed to a coach when other names are available? Why not play it out and then hire the assistant?
September 27, 200916 yr Florida isn't the best team this season. They are good, but I think this is Alabama's year.

September 27, 200916 yr Florida isn't the best team this season. They are good, but I think this is Alabama's year. The SEC is in trouble this year, Georgia appears to be overrated as does LSU today. Alabama and UF may be all the conference has this year. Ole Miss and LSU could still come around but the jury is still out on both of them.
September 27, 200916 yr Thank God this isn't last season - at least we have a good basketball team this year.
September 27, 200916 yr If Joe Pa doesn't need one, then no one needs a coach in waiting. Penn State's coach in waiting is probably 70 years old!
