September 27, 200916 yr At least UK won the 2nd quarter . Actually UK has won the entire game since the first quarter.
September 27, 200916 yr Should we have went for it on 4th down. Also if you had already made up your mind it may change your 3rd down call. I absolutely hate the UK play-calling and I have for several years now. They are making no effort whatsoever to attempt a comeback. They are simply calling runs and short passes to attempt to keep the score respectable. I hate that train of thought and I think that is the signature of a losing program. Here's an observation - Matthews, Cobb and Locke are your best players on offense. How about this plan - get those 3 the ball.
September 27, 200916 yr It's not just UF, UL had too much success running the ball as well... UL had a total of 133 yards rushing against UK. While not great run defense, that was not to bad either. They gave up 270 yards passing that day though.
September 27, 200916 yr This Kentucky team will be lucky to make it to 6-6, IMO. Don't say that people really get upset if you dare to say this UK team isn't great.

Florida has sputtered for 3 quarters and left the door open for a comeback and Tebow gets knocked. They are not going to lay down sometimes you have to make things happen. Just say you get lucky a convert a 4th down and score. You never know what may happen with Tebow out.
September 27, 200916 yr Don't say that people really get upset if you dare to say this UK team isn't great. I'm just telling it the way it is. I'm not a big fan of Joker's play-calling. I'm nervous for the future. On a bright note, if you fall into the group that loves going 6-6 or 7-5 and making a bowl game, then you should be happy.

Rich Brooks has done a good job getting this program back up some. However he is not going to get this program to one of the better ones in the SEC. I mean we have won 1 game in the SEC East against teams not named Vanderbilt. I absolutely hate how we already named Joker Phillips the coach when Brooks retires. I mean this team is a decent team at best, and seems like we are content to stay decent. They need to interview other coaches, because maybe someone else would be better for the job and could help the program get over the top in the SEC. I also don't even want to talk about Hartline. He is still terrible, and makes very dumb decisions. He never takes a chance down field. It could be 3rd and 8 and he will throw a pass 4 yards instead. They need to make a change at QB, and let one of those freshman start getting experience now, or else we will have another year of bad offense next year too.

It's like they're playing to cover the spread rather than playing to win. Florida has scored 3 points in the last 3 quarters. I'm more disappointed with the last 3 quarters for UK than I am with the debacle that was teh first quarter.

On a bright note, if you fall into the group that loves going 6-6 or 7-5 and making a bowl game, then you should be happy. That seems to be UK's philosophy. If you look at their out of conference schedule they have made no attempt to play a BCS caliber team not named Louisville in a long time. Has UK even went 4-4 in SEC in the last 3 years?
September 27, 200916 yr Hartline with another terrible pass. I'd rather put Cobb in the backfield and run it 50 consecutive times as to watch this miserable play-calling.

September 27, 200916 yr Here is the part that disturbs me about Kentucky - give this exact same roster to Urban Meyer and Kentucky wins 9-10 games. He would put Cobb at QB and run a spread option that would be difficult to stop. Kentucky just doesn't play to its strengths at all.
September 27, 200916 yr The comparison to UF and UNC is stretching a bit. They forgot to mention they both wear blue...

I said from the get go UK's kicking game would haunt them big time this year.
