September 28, 200917 yr I've got 3 SuperBowl rings, and nearly another to your one, that says you're wrong. So by that logic Mark Madsen (sp?) is better than Karl Malone. Kind of ridiculous to compare super bowl rings in what makes a QB great. Look at Dan Marino.
September 28, 200917 yr Peyton Manning is one of the best ever, but he's not as good as Brady. Brady won Super Bowls with a motley crue of WR's. The critics said the defense carried them, apparently ignoring the numerous times that Brady drove New England down the field for points to win game after game. Then, when Brady was given weapons equal to what Manning has had nearly his entire career, he posted better numbers. Plain and simple, he trumps him on all points...more rings, and better numbers when he's got the weapons. Maybe if Tom Brady would flail his arms wildly and act like a fighting gamecock at the line of scrimmage prior to every snap, he'd have made the list.:lol: That is one of my favorite lines on BGP ever!

Honestly the Manning defenders always seem to be Colts fans. I don't know anyone who picks Manning over Brady who isn't a Colts fan. They are both great QB's and very smart QB's. They both are probably top ten of all time. However only one of them has won three super bowls, and only one of them has time and time again made the plays in the biggest clutch moments, and thats not Manning. That would be Tom Brady. Both are great, however Brady should get the nod over him. :thumb: Couldn't have said it better myself. Colts fans generally don't like Tom Brady so they throw him under the bus in favor of all things Manning. Anyone with any inkling of sense at all, knows that Brady is better than Manning.

Trent Dilfer on The Herd this morning calling Manning the best QB of all-time. Says that no one players means more to their franchise than him. Brady got hurt and the Pats still went 11-5... Manning gets hurt and they are probably barely a .500 team.

And, Dan Marino gets docked when he's stacked up with guys like Elway and Montana because he doesn't have the jewelry those guys do. It matters when you're splitting hairs with all-time greats. It doesn't matter when you're comparing Trent Dilfer to Dan Marino.
September 28, 200917 yr :lol: That is one of my favorite lines on BGP ever! I thought it was pretty good too. It took me a while to figure out how to describe Peyton.

Manning had Marvin Harrison and Edgerin James when they were in their prime, and managed to win one superbowl even when Dungy brought his defense in there. Tom Brady has won SuperBowls with half the talent that Manning has. Take who you want, I'll take Brady.

Nobody knows until Manning gets hurt. The same stuff was said about Brady prior to an injury actually occurring. Regardless, we're talking about who the best player is, not which team is better equipped to win without that player. And, Brady is better.

It probably would depend on who their backup QB was. Obviously they would be horrible if he got hurt, because they don't have a good backup QB like the Pats had. Matt Cassell is a good QB, however he is a playing on a bad team in KC with no running game, and only one real guy to throw the ball to and he is hurt right now.
