Fans already lining up for Madness tickets???

Featured Replies

Once you have a ticket, is it a reserved seat? You don't have to wait in line again at Rupp do you? I really wish they would have left this at Memorial and let people line up and wait for days to get in. The ticket system has really taken the spirit out of the event.

Its just like a regular game ticket. Same for the blue/white game.

I think anything at Rupp would be that way.

Ticketmaster doesn't really affect the campers really. If you are a camper that has been there since Wendesday or Thursday, your seats will be the bottom 10 rows.:thumb:

Big Blue Madness is UK's annual celebration of the opening of basketball practice for its men's and women's teams. The event takes place in Rupp Arena on Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Anybody going to this?

I camp out for this every year....don't look like I am going to get to be there Saturday morning when tickets are given out....:irked: Still plan on going over and spend time with my sister and aunt that will be camping out. I enjoy just watching all the people and meeting the new players.

This will be my first year camping out! My brother went up last year.

Me and my brother and a few friends are going up on Thursday and Friday Night to camp out!

Meeting the new players? You meet them if you camp out?

They walk to class from the lodge, so they walk right past the village on the west side.

My brother said alot of the players will come over and talk to the fans. He graduated with Darius Miller and he came over and talked to him and his friends for a bit.

I played cornhole with Stevenson and Galloway last year.

I don't think it has taken the spirit out of it at all. I mean the only way for people to get a guarnteed ticket is by camping out and you see people camping out for 3 days waiting. It is packed with so many people camping out, so the spirit is definitely still there.

My friends said it is amazing camping out up there, and you wouldn't believe how many people are up there.

Talked to them all the time. Showed Paterson the Cat Pause yearbook and the article on him...he hadn't seen it.

Miller was awsome last year with the fans, sat down and played cards with the group behind us.

The Freshman and transfer players are the ones that come by the most. This is all so new to them and they are just amazed at al the fans camping out for tickets.

Also the players bring by pizza and hand out on Friday night. The girls coach and team bring by doughnuts in the morning.

I look for coach Cal to come by this year and greet the fans. If you haven't camped out...it is an experience.
