Education Czar for Reagan; Drug Czar for GHWB; and, "hey, man, his family is still financially solvent." Probably offset the millions in gambling losses with the royalties from his book The Book of Virtues (great book, incidentally). Personally, I really like the guy and think he's dynamic, iff off the beatn path.

Had he not promised the Serbs that he would help them no matter what I think it is safe to say that they may have sat out WWI since Russia's entrance prompted England and France to do the same. Anyway, that is just me rambling.

Anyway, that is just me rambling. Russia jumped in to aid Serbia after Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Russia wanted access to the ports of the Balkan Region. Russia jumping in prompted Germany to back A-H which then brought France and Britain in....hence Europe fell like a House of Cards.

Of course every side had basically drawn up war plans after the Franco/Prussian War in 1871. It almost seems as if Europe was hoping for a war. Gavrilo shooting Franz just put it all into play!
