September 8, 200917 yr Two questions: How can a stud high school qb not want to come play in BK's offense? How can a BCS conference winner not have their game found on the radio? I think it may have more to do with the system. Will it prepare you for the next level? Would a more pro-style offense better suit a stud QB, with an eye at the next level? A decent QB is going to put up good numbers in Kelly's system. I think the bloom is off Schiano and Kelly's star is shining brighter.
September 8, 200917 yr Congrats to the bgp/Bearcat fans. I must say that I love watching Cincy play under B. Kelly, the man can flat out coach football. A great defensive coach...lose 10 starters off a very good defense and come back with a "D" that plays and hits like that, Wow! I realize that Rutgers are not world beaters by any stretch but they were picked by many at the top of the Big East this season. Cincy imo will win the conference again. There is not a dominant/power team in the conference. As for te comparisons on Kelly to pin head Petrino, is jmo but I would much rather have Kelly......no contest. Kellly imo is much better defensively plus Kelly seems like a stand up guy that is not looking to stab anyone in the back or recruit thugs and then leave the mess for someone else to deal with. Kelly is imo a class act, Petrino......well, it rhimes with it. :sssh: No, I am not jumping in the Bearcat bandwagon, lol. I am saying that I hope they win the Big East and they along with WVU (now that R.R. is gone) are my favorite teams to watch in the Big East.
September 8, 200917 yr Tony Pike 27/34 362 3 TDs 1 INT UC had 564 yards total offense. Very impressive.
September 8, 200917 yr I don't see how he would have played at UC either. There is simply too much talent already in place at the position for when Pike graduates and after watching them all closely I like both Massa and Dominique Brown of Winton Woods better in this class... Brown is a specimen.
September 8, 200917 yr GT, did my firends boy, Drew Frey, play and contribute? Drew is starting at FS and played very well. It's great to see him finally healthy and ready to go...
September 8, 200917 yr Drew is starting at FS and played very well. It's great to see him finally healthy and ready to go... You have to be pretty excited. I was leery of how the defense would perform, with 10 new starters. They looked pretty good:thumb:
