September 17, 200917 yr I love Bard's. However, I can't go with the "better than Five Guys." Bard's is the best for one reason. Deep Fried Twinkies for desert.:ylsuper:
September 17, 200917 yr It's a neat area but I think it could be a lot better than what it currently is. I used to basically live in Mainstrasse during my young 20's, and I must tell you that it is a much nicer area today. Now the only time I go is during Maifest or Oktoberfest so I don't know what it's like on a normal weekend night, I'm sure there are more than a handful of idiots patrolling 6th and Main.
September 17, 200917 yr Finally tried Five Guys recently, and I've got to say I was a little disappointed. It's good and all, but it didn't quite live up to the hype I've heard about it. I guess I'll have to try this Bard's place sometime. Several places to find "good" burgers in NKY, I'd love to find a "great" one. Man, I wish we had an In and Out Burger. It's all-time.
October 9, 200917 yr Finally got to 5 Guys today. Great burger and fries! Did not like the long line, and the hassle on getting a table. We did see a pretty heated dispute over a table, so there is entertainment value.. Carryout the next time:thumb:
October 9, 200917 yr Just go to the grocery pick out a nice roast and have them grind into burger for you. I do this pretty often, hard to beat fresh off the grill.
October 9, 200917 yr Anybody tried the Bardzilla at Bards? I tried and got about half way thru and had enough. No way I could ever eat that whole thing. Had a buddy who did tho, he later threw up in the street.
October 10, 200917 yr Anybody tried the Bardzilla at Bards? I tried and got about half way thru and had enough. No way I could ever eat that whole thing. Had a buddy who did tho, he later threw up in the street. I haven't tried it but for only $12.50 it's worth the try!
October 10, 200917 yr Is it funny to anybody other than me that the "good burger" thread is located immediately above the "colonoscopy" thread? Well it was before this post.
