After the first week, who joins the Heisman conversation?

Featured Replies

Clark from Penn St had a nice start too!

He should have, Joe Pa let him throw 40 balls against Akron.

My top five would be

1. McCoy

2. Tebow

3. Dez Bryant

4. Eric Decker

5. Jonathan Dwyer

My Top Ten Through Week 1-Barring Mardy Gillyard, Jacory Harris or Christian Ponder goes off later today.

1.Tebow

2.McCoy

3.Jahvid Best

4.Max Hall

5.Jimmy Clausen

6.Darryl Clark

7.Jonathan Dwyer

8.Joe McKnight

9.Michael Floyd

10.Kellen Moore

Jimmy Clausen lookded good but pretty much anyone could put it up to Rudolph, Tate, and ecspecially Floyd.

Exactly my point. Big numbers all year because of those around him.

The schedule is made up about 3-4 years in advance. He brought all that talent in. Lets see how the season plays out for the Irish. I look for a great game with USC in October. One thing I never understood is when they play at USC, its usually the last game of the regular season and when USC comes to South Bend its alot sooner. I would try to use the weather as a factor.

USC doesn't like playing in South Bend late in November because it is too cold.

Jimmy Clausen has absolutely no chance of winning the Heisman if Texas and Florida are undefeated or even have one loss. With the injury to Bradford he-Clausen-may make it to New York, but I would be willing to bet every dime I have that he will not win the Heisman. Nothing against him, but I think it's a foreone conslusion that it will be either Tebow or McCoy.

If McCoy and Tebow stay healthy one of them will win.

I think so too. I'm thinking McCoy wins that "career achievement" type this year. Clausen will put up huge numbers though and make it interesting. Beano Cook will be all over ESPN by November!

I think Notre Dame and USC have been using the same scheduling format (LA in November; South Bend in October) for about 75 years.
