Can't get too excited about what Conner has done so far. If they roll Dixie, maybe. But, I do not see them handing it to Dixie. Probably a high scoring game that could go either way.

Agree. After watching Dixie last night, there is no question they can move the ball and score some points. But it appears as though they will give up a lot to good teams also.

After 3 weeks we do not know if Conner is #1 or if Conner is #8 in NKY.

Connor's schedule is weak compared to other 6A schools in their district. I think the coach might be more concerned with picking up W's than preparing for his tough district games. Boone started off with Lafayette and Scott Co. and are playing Anderson (OH) next and Highlands after that. SK scheduled Henry Clay. Ryle has Highlands twice. Connor is a good team now and needs to start playing better teams

Lloyd is always going to be up and down, as should all 1A and 2A schools who have not built dynastys. Some years talent is there, others years it is not. I think the Juggs scheduled this game hoping talent would be up this year.

 

This year Lloyd has a great deal of talent. When this group played as freshmen they were good. I too hope to see a better start for the Juggs but to say they are short on talent this year would be incorrect.

 

In the past 2 weeks I have seen the juggs play good football in the 1st qtr but that is where it stops. The next 3 qtrs I see Holmes and Conner both make a few changes and then the game seem to pull out of our range.

If I am way off base please let me know.

KC schools have open enrollment and you can attend any KC high school if you are a student in the county school system.

I could live 5 feet from the Ryle district and not be able to attend Ryle.

However, I could live in Morningview and attend Dixie.

According to there staff the lions coaches need to be replaced. Didnt you know that all Lloyd's problems are a direct result of the peewee program. All you have to do is ask them.

But let me say here that lack of talent and the Lions program are not at fault. The Lions senior team went to the NKYFL Super Bowl last year and this year Lloyd can't even field a freshman team??? :eek:

The Lions senior team went the year before last also. There is still talent in Erlanger. For some reason they don't want to all stay at Lloyd. This happened in the mid eighties before Tassini arrived. The Lloyd administration thinks that as long as you make the 2A playoffs its OK. Even when players don't that don't dress for practice for entire season still play on friday nights. Rudy Tassini's predecessor was fired for not winning distict championship 2 years in a row with arguably Lloyd's most talented teams. Where is that type of accountability????Sorry I'm rambling I could go on for days on this subject but its not worth the Hunting and Pecking. GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!

They also have some kids from the Boone County area due to boudaries. Lloyd has some young talent in its freshman and sophomore class this year that is playing varsity and will get better as the year goes on. I agree with alot of what you said, just because a kid plays for the Lions does not mean he is going to LLoyd. St Henry kids will go to Cov. Cath and there are several kids who move out of district but are grandfathered into the Lions organization so they continue to play although they live in Boone County or Independence. I also agree that Lloyd should do better against schools in there division but there is an issue with the quality of coaching. Coach Lucas has to do a better job of playing to his strengths and getting the right players on the field. Hopefully changes are made and they can right the ship. How long until kids quit coming out completely?

Lloyd is going to have a tough road ahead of them. They do not seem to be clicking on offense or defense. They will have a tough year. Good luck to those players and coaches. I hope they can turn it around and make something out of nothing.
