September 4, 200917 yr Man...it seemed like he was around a lot longer than that. I agree. Not a favorite of mine but he had a good career based on a ton of hard work. I respect that.

He worked his butt off to stay in shape in order to guard the best and he did. He was a great defender but it was time for him to retire.

He was a feisty guy on defense and he did play physical. That doesn't mean he was dirty. Not imo...

If "holding" Kobe to 25 points, 4 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 3 turnovers is insinuating that Bruce Bowen was a Kobe stopper, then have at it. Seeing as how Kobe only averaged 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, .5 blocks and 3 turnovers I guess that qualifies Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson of the New Jersey Nets as Kobe stoppers also since those are his career stats against both teams. This is a Bruce Bowen thread. If you want to hate on Kobe feel free to start a I hate Kobe Bryant thread and I'll join you there, but to falsely accuse Bruce Bowen of being a "Kobe stopper" is ridiculous and I will prove that as being ridiculous anytime you need to be shown how ridiculous and false that is.
