You didn't just state your opinion, you responded by quoting with a laughing smiley saying 'let's not act like...', that implies that he said something along the lines of Kobe being a saint.

 

It was supposed to be a simple statement that could die with my post. Unfortunately many wanted to extend it even further. And my point was that even though Kobe got into it with Bowen because of some things Bowen did, Kobe was no saint either.

Bowen was always one of those guys that irritated me to no end, but I'd have loved to had him playing for my favorite team. He was a perfect example of the type of guys you need to win championships.

 

He was a guy I actually liked, except when the Spurs were playing the Lakers...then I couldn't stand him. But, I respected him. I hope retirement goes well for him.

 

And, regardless of stats, he defended Kobe as well as anyone ever has. You don't "stop" the Kobes of the world...you work your butt off to make them earn everything they get and sometimes frustrate them. That's exactly what he did.

:thumb: I never was a huge fan of Bowen, but I liked the way he played defense.
