My comment was aimed at Bowen's propensity to slide his foot under players while they're in the air shooting. More than once a player rolled an ankle and I seem to remember he and Kobe going nose-to-nose after one such incident.

 

As a Kobe fan, I attack first and ask questions later. Kobe isn't thinking about Bowen's retirement is all I am saying. It's not going to affect him.

I think he was part of the Richard Jefferson, so he for sure was not going to play with the Bucks. Don't be shocked if he comes out of retirment and joins the Spurs again late in the year.

If you are accusing me of being overly sensitive regarding Kobe Bryant then you obviously missed the intent of my post. And it is also quite obvious that you have not read any of my posts during any NBA season/playoffs.

You didn't just state your opinion, you responded by quoting with a laughing smiley saying 'let's not act like...', that implies that he said something along the lines of Kobe being a saint.

Boondock, I understood what you said, give it up.

Bowen was always one of those guys that irritated me to no end, but I'd have loved to had him playing for my favorite team. He was a perfect example of the type of guys you need to win championships.

 

He was a guy I actually liked, except when the Spurs were playing the Lakers...then I couldn't stand him. But, I respected him. I hope retirement goes well for him.

 

And, regardless of stats, he defended Kobe as well as anyone ever has. You don't "stop" the Kobes of the world...you work your butt off to make them earn everything they get and sometimes frustrate them. That's exactly what he did.
