August 28, 200917 yr Seems like it's always WR's that are the biggest prima donnas. Sure does make me miss guys like Steve Largent.
August 28, 200917 yr I blame Pat Bolin for this turmoil, had he just left Shannahan as the Head Coach none of this would be happening. Denver has been one of the cleanest run programs in recent history under Shannahan. Now they hire a 12 year old as the head coach of a professional football team and none of these guys take him serious. He has a lot of growing up to do because this team, I mean this teams star players are going to make this year miserable for him. On another note, that was a pathetic performance from the video, acting like a punk, jerk. Take some money away from him and I bet his catches the balls and doesn't kick them away. I know McDaniels did a great job at New England, but you can never substitute experience as a head coach and he has none. I hope my favorite team pulls this together... :thumb: Bad move to get rid of Cutler, now Marshall is going Chad Johnson on them and have they even addressed the defense with all of the turmoil on offense. IMO they took what could have been a playoff contending team and mismanaged it into the cellar. Great move!

IMO they took what could have been a playoff contending team and mismanaged it into the cellar. Great move! :thumb: McDaniels screwed himself as soon as he got in the Rocky Mountains. His lust for Matt Cassell not being kept secret cost him one of the biggest rising stars in the league and what would have been the franchise QB for the next decade. I mean I know he felt it would be ideal to bring Cassell in due to him already knowing the offensive system, but when you have a Pro Bowl quarterback on the roster you tend not to worry about that. So making Cutler mad, then being immature and not trying to patch things up has led to as many posters have said, a playoff team self imploding itself. They trade Cutler for basically nothing useful, which in return almost turns the whole team against him right away, especially the offense. Now Marshall is wining around because he wanted out as soon as Cutler left and Orton was brought in. That mixed in with the fact he wants more money has turned into a doom situation. His antics are going to have an effect on the whole team, and even though they suspended him, I feel that it is too late and the damage has already been done. After already letting go of their franchise QB, their best move right now would be to move Marshall for whatever they could get out of him and just move on and start trying to build for the future. They have solid recievers in place as far as number two and three type guys go, so if they could find another number one, then they would be much better off without a disgruntled Brandon Marshall. However, if they do not get any better on the defensive side of the ball, their not going to do much anyway. What once was a good defense has being going downhill for a couple years now, and hiring an offensive minded coach like McDaniels isn't going to do much for the defense I wouldn't think. Especially when that coaches' biggest moves for the franchise so far has been to run off the star quarterback and upset their best skill player. Way to go Josh, your off to a great start in your head coaching career.
August 28, 200917 yr :madman::madman: Just my luck... Pat Bolen is my uncle...I knew this was coming. Just kidding.
August 29, 200917 yr Did you not see where I said SOME OF IT was blown out of proportion? Again, like what? The one example you cited is "some of it?"
August 29, 200917 yr Again, like what? The one example you cited is "some of it?" I think you are blowing my posts out of proportion . Calm down, even I'm not trying to argue here. I just thought showing him sitting down before practice was a bit misleading. And that would be "some" of it, technically.
August 29, 200917 yr Is this really a punishment for Marshall? Yeah, I'm sure its no biggie for him, he doesn't want to be there anyway, especially practice and pre-season. Even though its a suspension, to Marshall I'm sure its just a blessing to be able to miss practice and the remainder of the pre season. About the only way Denver can solve this would be to trade him and get rid of the problem, or suspend him without pay for some regular season. He is already complaining about money so if his attitude don't change it would hit him where it hurts. Also, not sure if they've done this or not, but the front office should have a long sit down with Brandon to try and figure some things out and get some things settled. They need to let him know stop worrying about the contract and start worrying about winning games. Then place incentives that if he plays we, of if the Broncos make it to the playoffs, then give him the deal he has been wanting. If I was Denver's front office I would be sure to tell him that he is going to get his money, but he has to earn it firstand his recent drama isn't helping the situation.
August 29, 200917 yr I love Brandon Marshall but I can't stand to see all of this. They just need to trade him for both sides to be happy. Why doesn't someone like the cowboys make a run at Marshall. That fit would be like Peanut Butter and jelly. Marshall keeps his mouth shut when he's playing well and with Tony Romo under center you know they'd find him. Especially with Roy Williams' new injury.

I think McDaniels rode some coattails...remember when Charlie Weis was an offensive genius? McDaniels was fortunate enough to be the OC for a team coached by Darth Hoodie and QB'ed by Tom Brady...when Brady went down, they still had elite receiving options and a great o-line. Plus, seriously...don't you think that Belichick had a lot more to do with holding that offense together and managing Cassel (especially early) than McDaniels? I've got nothing to prove that, but I believe it. McDaniels might be a great coach. But, to me, he's pretty much an unknown and unproven. McDaniels could be Jon Gruden, Lane Kiffin or something in between.
