Actually that's not accurate. As I said in the above post, conservitives give more to charity than liberals, therefore they help them more.

Obviously, Jesus was a whacked out liberal. Heck, he "took" 2 loaves of bread and a fish from a kid and then "gave" the other 4,999 people or so "free fish." They didn't even have to fill out any forms and he didn't verify they were actual citizens. He obviously didn't know he could have taken that fish and sold it and used that money to finance the battles in Canaan!

I don't think you get it. First you say Republicans teach people how to do things, and give them opportunity to do on their own. Now you're saying, Republicans give everything to the poor. Which one is it? Why are we even having this argument then? For that matter, where do Republicans get all this money to keep for themselves, and at the same time, give it all to the poor. Now that is an impressive talent.

First, I agree with the premise that you teach a man to fish, he feeds himself forever, and give him a fish, and he eats for only a day.

 

I reject the partisan spin that was applied to such a wise saying.

 

As to who contributes more, I think the that everyone gets too hung up on who contributes the most money. And the truer indicator of ANYONE'S generosity is in the time they give. Again, a non-partisan statement. It's easy to give money, AND you get a tax break. Not so easy to carve out time, and donate your talents or hard work.

IMO - neither party teaches anyone how to fish. One just gives out more fish than the other.
