WOW! I’m not surprised Boyle won this game, but I sure wasn’t expecting such a lopsided score. Was most of the scoring done early on or was it spread throughout the 4 quarters? I’m anxious to see the stats from this game.

That's Paul Megilligan. He and Grant Aumiller give us a very very good defensive line. They were both great tonight.

 

I was really expecting to see JC run all over us tonight. I can't say I am overly surprised they didn't because I have preached about our great run defense, but I really thought they'd have been better than how they played tonight.

 

Is it safe to say that if Johnson Central can't run on us, no one will, or am I wrong for that?

Boyle put up some impressive stats on both sides of the ball. 366 yds on 53 plays or 6.9/play. While yielding 2.2 yd/play on defense.

Very nice way to start off the season. Great win for the Rebels. Boyle's D went head to head with the JC offense and won easily. I know they had 4-5 big gains for over 15 yards, but other than that I believe Boyle held them under a 1 yard or worse at least 35 plays. Boyle had 1 TD called back. I really like the way Boyle's JV scored on the JC first stringers in the 4 quarter. Going to be a really good season.

I think you were right there with me. They can't fool us.

Good win for the Rebels, good start. Second half a little sloppy at times, but 1st game. Boyle will steadily improve. Going to be a good year. Go Rebels!
