This thread isn't even in the HS Football Forum but in the general discussion forum, since we can't put a thread about Middle School football in the High school Football Forum! So if you don't mind, lets keep it that way as there is only for one more week left in the season.

I really wish we played Highlands this year. Do you have FIRSTHAND knowledge why they didn't? Who chooses what division you play in when you play up? Why doesn't Dale schedule X or T from Louisville? BTW we could have beaten Ryle alot worse than HHs did if we chose to. Unlike alot of PREDICTIONS.

He is a good kid and plays hard so Highlands will prosper from another transfer from Newport.:popcorn: That's him, however, it's hardly a transfer if he comes in in JR. High. A kid w/ that kind of talent is better served at Highlands. He'll get a lot more exposure than at Newport.

Mark broadcasts all of the varsity Football and Basketball games for CCH and has agreed to broadcast the Middle School Championship games for us Saturday Night. October 14, 200916 yr Highlands used to run the league. They won it like 3 years in a row when we were in JR. High. Now they keep it amongst themselves. Speaking of which, I watched the green team play on Saturday and they have a running back that will have Highlands fans smiling for the next 4 years. He looks exactly like an 8th grade Miles Simpson. Tall, graceful, and will hit you.I am with you brother, no matter what jersey he wore this year, he was a difference maker. He is going to be a stud and he transferred because they moved. The rich get richer...He would be a stud playing freshman ball this year (no doubt).

I agree that this kid could be considered possibly one of the best middle schoolers in NKY and is very fast and aggressive.

October 28, 200916 yr Just a thought...but with the BCPWFL, NKYFL, NKYMSFL, and FTJFL all within spitting distance of each other, how cool would it be to see a two week playoff/super bowl played between the champs of the 7th/8th grade teams in those leagues? I think that would be a pretty awesome showcase of the talent being developed. Maybe an all-star game would be a little more realistic given the various differences between the leagues (BCPWFL and NKYMSFL's less limited weight restrictions, FTJFL's required 1 1/2 quarters of playing time each game, etc.). Thoughts? Anyone?
