Campbell County 7th beat Twenhofel 7th 42-6 last night. The Camels returned the opening kickoff for a TD and controlled the game throughout.

This is the first year for the split divisions. I think it is a very good thing. There will be two seperate championship games on 10/17.

In the big school division, Campbell County and Cov Cath have won their first two games by large margins. The Camels have beat Summit View 28-0 and Turkeyfoot 24-0. Cov Cath has beat Holmes 33-0 and Woodland 39-8.

In the small school division, I would think it is going to be tough for anyone to knock off NCC. They won the championship last year before there were split divisions.

Id def say NCC is the team to beat in the small school division. They have looked pretty good.

Newport beat Holy Cross 20-0 out at Dixie today. Newport picks up its first win to go 1-2 while Holy Cross drops to 0-3 I believe.

7th grade Camels beat Summit View last night 18-8. 6th grader Matt Wilson had 2 TDs (one passing and one running). He is going to be a QB to watch in the future.

I have no problem with kids playing middle school football. I do think that it prepares them more for high school. However I don't agree with teams having middle school teams, when they don't have a middle school. All it is is purely a recruiting tool, to try to help make sure that kid does end up attending that school for high school as well.

The Catholic schools have feeder schools designated to them. The feeder schools constitute the middle school teams. That is where the Catholic High Schools get their players from anyway. How is that recruiting? It's just like Turkeyfoot players eventually to Dixie. It's is NOT kids from Turkeyfoot playing for CovCath's team, like you are trying to make it out to be.
