They are terrible here in Frankfort. I'm on a lake so I thought maybe that was what was making it worse. My wife gets bitten a whole lot worse than me. Do you guys think the citronella stuff in tiki torches work?

My neighbor and I had this same conversation the other night. What's funny is that he says he can't hardly stay out because of them, but I haven't been bitten once that I know of. And we live about 20 feet from each other. Nature can definitely be weird.

That is exactly like my house. I will take my girls out to our playground and they will come back with several bites, and I will have none. It is bizarre. The running joke around here is that I am just not very sweet!:lol:

I have noticed the fly bugs in general have been bad this year. Mosquitos bite me no matter what.

I don't usually get bothered that much by mosquitos, but this year they seem to be extra hungry. I tries one of those new OFF fan things and they work great!

Skeeters haven't been bad at all here; only noticing them this week.

Mosquitos have not been bad at all in my area this summer either. It must be regional.

I was told to have a bat in the neighborhood as they eat them.

 

Have no clue if that is true. But it sounds good.

Nah...the Lucky dog takes care of making sure there's no critters like that. We had a possum that tried hard to make a home, but after being cornered in the yard, thought better of it. The possum was almost as big as Lucky. :lol: It was a definite sight to behold when that happened. :popcorn:
