Baseball for me.

Played fantasy baseball 4 years, small (8-team league). Finished first all 4 years.

Played fantasy football 1 year, 8-team league. Finished 4th.

Maybe that influenced my initial post, I dunno.:idunno:

Football and it's not even close! Draft cookout/party/night out. Big weekly payout...huge end of year payout. Trophy at the end of the year with your name engraved that gets passed on each year. We go to a game usually at a different stadium each year. Most fun to watch etc. We've got a great leauge going with guys from college.

The one on here is solid too and very well run.

It's football for me. But I love fantasy baseball as well.

Main reason is I pay much closer attention to the NFL than I do MLB (where I'm pretty much Reds-centric).

Baseball because you have to be involved on an everyday basis. Too many people win football leagues and they hardly ever check it except for bye weeks. If you win a baseball league then you have earned it.

I don't think so. I mean I am have been in baseball leagues, and am in a baseball league this year and I hardly ever check it. Yet I am always one of the top teams in the league. Baseball leagues are really easy IMO. You put the lineup that you want out there, and then you can just keep it that way for the whole time basically and win without even checking it. The only time I change anything is if I hear on tv that one of my players got hurt, or if one of my bench players is just tearing it up. Then I would put him in. Other than that you really could just keep it the same all year and yet you could end up winning the whole thing. Now in football you have to pay attention because every week you have a different team on a bye, and if you end up starting just one player who happens to be on a bye that week. Then you make it very hard for yourself to win. Also there is more injuries, plus you use a lot more strategy because you start different people sometimes depending on who they play. So with all that you really need to keep up to date with who you start every week and even sometimes up to the day of since sometimes a guy could be questionable for a game. So IMO if you win a football league then you earned it more.

I wish there was an open spot in our league...we could use someone to finish in dead last.
