College, easy. Guys are playing for something, and it's not a paycheck. The many rivalries. Heck, in the NFL does anyone have more than 1 rival? The importance of each game.

Honestly, even though it's not a better product, I prefer college of pro sports in all 3 major sports. To me, it's as pure as it gets and kids are playing because they love it.

Unfortunately, if we are talking D1 athletics...it is probably as impure as anything. And most of them feel they are playing for a paycheck -- just in the near future.

It used to be College for me by a landslide but the NFL has been growing on me a lot in the last few years, especially the more I play fantasy football. I'm not even sure which I would pick anymore.

Do you have a favorite NFL Team?

I've been a Dallas fan my whole life. I think the downward slide of UofL football might have something to do with it.

Interested to hear why you guys don't think college is more pure than their pro counterparts.

Also, "most" are DEFINITELY not playing for a paycheck. Over 600 college football playing schools in America who have at least 50 kids per team (That's LOW). There are 32 NFL teams with 53 spots per team. That's less than 5%.

Being a Dallas fan has really hurt my love for the NFL. I HATED when Jimmy Johnson was hired, but he did a great job. I didn't like Switzer at all. I think Phillips is a trainwreck and i'm not a Romo fan. All of that being said, Go 'Boys.

The NFL easily. I like College Football but I love the NFL.

Basketball takes beyond a 180 for me though. I love College Basketball but have less than a casual interest in the NBA.

I didn't say most were...I said most FEEL they are. Totally different.

Just because its less than a 5% chance of them making it to the NFL. It doesn't mean that probably the majority of them aren't playing to try to make it to the NFL and the paycheck. Yeah just because a player might realize that probably wont happen, it doesn't mean they aren't at least trying for it. So honestly most players are playing for a paycheck actually.

Include every kid that's ever played any sport then. Guess they're all playing for a paycheck.

Regardless of how they feel, they aren't.

The three of you who answered college in the poll...can we have a reason why?

Just saw this.

I voted college. I think the reason for me is I can watch and root for many different teams in college, and the fact that 1 loss will ruin your season.

I'm no Florida fan by any means, but the passion Tim Tebow showed after one loss kind of sums up how I feel about college football. I can sit down and watch 10 college football games in a day no matter who is playing. I can't do that with the NFL.

Trinity football for me, anything else is tertiary.
