I have McNabb in my money league, and it looks like he'll probably spend some time out. I've got Manning as my backup, and after a moderately difficult matchup at Dallas, he's at Tampa Bay (who Romo just shredded), at the Chiefs (who gave up 300+ and 3 TDs to Joe Flacco), then home versus the Raiders. Do I need to worry at all about picking up Kevin Kolb or another QB immediately? McNabb should probably miss no more than 4 weeks with cracked ribs.

Eli has looked pretty good today Dragon.

 

He's 20/29 256 yards 1TD 1INT. Hakeem Nicks appears to be done for a while, but I don't think that will affect Eli all that much. It just means Manningham, Hixon, Smith and Boss will have to step up.

I'd roll with Eli for now and forget about Kolb. There's a decent chance that if McNabb is out for an extended period, Garcia or Vick would be more valuable than Kolb.

 

If you know you aren't going to play him in the next 2-3 games, I wouldn't waste a roster spot on him.

Tough trade. I think I'd take it. I like Turner better than Portis, if for no other reason, the Falcons offense is better with Matt Ryan pulling the trigger, and Turner gets the ball a lot in the red zone, so he should produce more TD's than Portis.

 

There's still some doubt and uncertainty around Palmer...can he stay healthy? How good will the Bengals offense be with a suspect o-line? Obviously, Cassel is no sure thing either, but I think you're getting the better RB and whether you need Evans or not, if Buffalo continues with the no huddle, he will provide some quality depth which you never know when you'll need it.

 

The question to me is whether you think Palmer will stay healthy and have a big year. I don't think I'd be confident enough to pass on Michael Turner and a bonus WR that could produce over a 1000 yards and 8 TD's.

I wouldn't have a problem either way. I think it's a coin flip. In toss-up trades like that, I typically go with the side that's getting the best player and most reliable player, and I think Turner is the top player involved in that deal.

 

I traded Westbrook, Marshall and Henry for Addai, Andre Johnson and the other Steve Smith earlier this year. That was the deciding factor for me. I felt like AJ was the best player of the six involved, so I pulled the trigger.

I think I'll do it.
