Greg Paulus Named Starting QB

Featured Replies

Just guessing here, but a kid that's 3 or 4 years older physically and was a stud QB in high school probably could come and compete. Now if he had just sat around for that time maybe, but I think he competed at a fairly high level of athletics.

He's a year older.

They start the season with Minnesota, Penn State, and Northwestern. We should have some kind of gauge of them by week 4.

My concern is that USF and the Cuse open Big East play week 6 in Syracuse, the week after the USF/FSU game. Regardless of what happens in Tallahassee, this could be a trap game for the Bulls.

I don't think it's that bad for the 'Cuse. When you're as bad as they are, you need a little pub to get things started. Sort of like the whole Lane Kiffin thing, any news about your team is good news. Well I disagree with Kiffin, but I see only positives coming from this. It's not like anyones job is on the line because of really high expectations.

There are probably college prospects who don't even know Syracuse has a football team, now they will for sure.

Than the seniors.

I never liked Paulus at Duke, .

A friend of mine after meeting Paulus last year said "as much as I want to dislike him I just can't. He's a nice young man."

I am sure he is a nice young man. My feelings remain :D

I guess neither Jim Brown or Donovan McNabb can do what an untested 5th year senior can do for that program. :D

Misread your post, my bad.

True. But, no player in college was alive when Brown was there, and most probably don't remember Donovan playing there either.

Paulus most likely won't be the player that either of them were, but with the way the media is nowadays he can have a great effect on their program, if for no other reason that people will talk about them alot this season.

I do not think this is good news for the Orange. UL will finally beat them.
