August 16, 200917 yr Brian Brohm was 3 for 10, two INTs. His NFL career might be a short one if he continues to struggle like he has this and last preseason.
August 16, 200917 yr Will never start a game in the league. Probably not, but I'd take the money to watch football on Sundays.
August 16, 200917 yr Is he a poor man's Tim Couch? :idunno: While Couch fell well below expectations, I don't think you can even compare the two. Couch was a starter and his career COULD have been different under different circumstances.
August 16, 200917 yr While Couch fell well below expectations, I don't think you can even compare the two. Couch was a starter and his career COULD have been different under different circumstances. I'm just saying...both were KY golden boys who looked liked elite QB and potential Pro Bowl prospects for the NFL at some point in their careers. Couch never lived up to the expectations and to date, neither has Brohm. The difference is that Couch, from a financial standpoint, was wise enough to sell high, while Brohm made the mistake of returning for a disastrous senior season. Thus, Couch got paid and Brohm didn't. Hence, a poor man's Tim Couch.

August 16, 200917 yr I guess we could throw Redmen, Lorenzen, and Woodson in there too unfortunately. :ohbrother: Those guys weren't on the same level as Couch and Brohm. There was a time when both Couch and Brohm were considered "sure things". There were always some questions with the other guys...all of them had some noticeable flaws.
August 16, 200917 yr Understandable. I just hope they are both smart enough to make good use of their money. Lord knows it doesn't last forever. I always assumed Brian Brohm would find his way into college or high school coaching once his NFL days are over.
August 16, 200917 yr While Couch fell well below expectations, I don't think you can even compare the two. Couch was a starter and his career COULD have been different under different circumstances. With his lack of arm strength, I wouldn't be so sure.
August 16, 200917 yr With his lack of arm strength, I wouldn't be so sure. Hard to throw on your BACK. :sssh: He did lead Cleveland to the Playoffs.:sssh:
August 16, 200917 yr With his lack of arm strength, I wouldn't be so sure. I doubt he would have ever been a dominant QB. But I think things could have been better had he went somewhere other than Cleveland as a rookie. It doesn't matter though...because he did go to Cleveland. I don't think Brohm has what it takes to make it in the NFL, but I hope he does.
