Has Chris Henry finally grown up?

Featured Replies

Was just thinking about the Bengals getting ready to start up here soon in Georgetown. Just realized we haven't heard anything about ole Chris Henry in quite some time, and they're saying he's having a great start in the mini camps. Does anyone else think that maybe he's grown up finally. He's about the age where alot of guys either figure it out, or don't.

I'm hoping he has, and that he realizes how lucky he truely is, what say you?

The last time there was a thread like this someone got arrested the same day. So you probably just jinxed him lol.

Carson has spoken high of Chris, and it seems as if CH is on the right track. However; he has such a past that I wouldn't be suprised to see him in the police blotter any given day. I hope for him that he is genuine, and that he's realized he's playing on borrowed time.

Same here, but mostly I hope it for my Bengals.:ylsuper:

Chris Henry has been impressive during the Cincinnati Bengals' voluntary training camp during the team's organized team activities.

“This is a great opportunity for me that I’m going to make work,” Henry said. “I just got tired of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I had to do it for me and my family. I love to play football and I don’t want to blow it. It’s totally different. I’m not worried about anything negative going on in my life. I’m out here practicing with my teammates and go home to my family”.

Said quarterback Carson Palmer: "He's had an offseason like no other; he's worked here every single day. He has a great attitude. I'm just really proud of the guy. I'm happy for him. He's at a good place in his life, a good place for his family. He's showed up to work here and he will all year long. There's not a doubt about that".

Exactly what I've been wanting to hear. Love it.

Let's ask the Magic 8 Ball.........It says...........Not Likely.

I think your 8 ball is broke.

I hope so. I'd hate to see him waste all of his talent.

Where is all this talent? He's been in the league 4 years already. He's played in 47 NFL games and caught a total of 107 passes. That's just over 2 a game. He's nothing more than a 3rd receiver on a good team. With his baggage he's much less than that until he proves otherwise.

Given the fact that he was playing behind two #1 receivers, and 1/3 of those games were with a back up QB, not to mention the "distractions" off the field, I'd say that his numbers could be a bit "skewed". I'm obviously hoping that I'm right, but I really do believe I am as well.

Talent doesn't always relate to stats.

I never said he was a pro bowler. But he's got the talent IMO to be a good WR. Not sure if he has what it takes to be great or not, but I think he is good.

Im glad to see him doing well but isnt funny how it's never their fault.

Maybe he has matured a little and sees how he has squandered his chances!

True, good point.
