Strike Two: Mayfield tests positive for meth....again

Featured Replies

I am definitely torn. Mayfield would have to be the dumbest person on the face of the earth to fight this like he did, win, then fail another test. I just have a hard time believing anyone in his position could be that stupid.

It is hard to believe but addicts do alot of crazy things. I hope its not true, but no matter what... he's done as a driver.

He must have really ticked someone off.

Call me naive or gullible, but I believe Mayfield for some reason.

I have told many people the same...

I can't make myself believe him. He has failed two tests, and apparently his mother in law (or someone close to him) says they have witnessed him using meth on numerous occasions. Sounds guilty to me, but I guess he deserves the right to prove his innocence.

It's his step mother and he claims they haven't been together more then 10 hours since she married his dad. He is also claiming she shot his dad and that she has been trying to get money from him for some time.

It's extremely hard to believe him, especially in today's world. It's also extremely hard to believe he could race at such a high level while addicted to meth. Most meth-heads have an abnormally high level of difficulty performing day-to-day activities.

Either way, this is one of the most bizarre stories I have witnessed.

I work with a guy that has lost all of his teeth because of Meth, He's only 24...

That is sad.

Mayfield does not look like someone that is doing meth. Their teeth start to rot and their face looks horrible.

Agree 100%....

The guy I was talking about losing his teeth, And Is only 24, Also stole $38,000 out of his dads business account...And spent it all in 2 months, On drugs..

It could also explain how he went from racing for one of the best teams on the circuit to not driving at all and having to start his own team.

It seems like I saw on a rehad show that if you try meth once there is a 98% chance you never get off of it!

Then I guess the guy I work with is part of the 2%...

Looks like Mayfield was full of it. Arrest for possession of meth and $100,000 of in stolen property.

Mayfield stole a bunch of NASCAR racing equipment. That is what most druggies do.

How do the teeth rot? Does it make you forget to brush and floss? Dentist or drugs? :idunno:

The Meth rots them it is pretty toxic stuff. My ex wife after we divorced dated a guy that was into Meth and he had no teeth from Meth. I loved making fun of him.
