July 14, 200917 yr I have a feeling this is the year the National League breaks the losing streak. They have the better lineup due to Longoria and Pedroia not playing, plus what I believe is a better pitching staff.
July 15, 200917 yr On ESPN they mentioned match-ups they would like to see and I think I would love to see Pujols vs Papelbon. I honestly just thought that first pitch was gone .
July 15, 200917 yr AJG I think your a Sox fan and I'm sure you loved seeing Jeter getting hit . Of course. It put runners on 1st and 2nd with no one out, and led to a run...... Seriously though, I don't really "like" Jeter but he's one of the Yankees I've got a ton of respect for, I wouldn't want to see him get seriously hurt.
July 15, 200917 yr Jeter isn't even the best shortstop on his team, let alone in the American League.

I agree. I hate the Yankees but there is no way you cant respect Jeter.
July 15, 200917 yr Jeter isn't even the best shortstop on his team, let alone in the American League. Who is, surely you don't mean A-Roid? He's lost every bit as much, if not more, range as Jeter--he's no longer a viable shortstop.

At the time when ARod joined the Yankees he was every bit a better shortstop than Jeter. Because I believe Arod is a better athlete than Jeter, if ARod was playing shortstop right now and had never moved to 3rd, I still think he would be a better shortstop than Jeter. Now, not so much, but under the circumstances, yes, better shortstop than Jeter. I would dare say give him a month or 2 and he'd be better than Jeter. Can you tell I don't like Jeter?
July 15, 200917 yr I agree. I hate the Yankees but there is no way you cant respect Jeter. Yes there is.....
July 15, 200917 yr Yes there is..... How? He's an all class guy who plays baseball the way it should be played.
