Fucci, Barnette and Martin had standout performances but Shotwell, Dunagan, Haggin, Napier and Helton played a great game.

 

Fant and Shanklin showed up for the DSAS 8pm game tonight. No word on results but lots of coaches were there to watch.

Shining Star-Jackson beat Salt Lake Metro by 14 to win their pool going 3-0. They play Common Bond @ 8:00 am Saturday in the Gold bracket. The team has shot the ball extremely well in all 3 games so far. The team has been had consistent scoring from Taylor Epley (Trinity), Vance Hall (Franklin Co.), and Casey Jackson (S. Oldham). These three have been tough to defense with Epley and Hall penetrating and Jackson bombing threes.

Ice won this morning against Carolina Drive. They lost a close one against Evansville Bball Club. They were up 15 and ran out of gas and lost in the last 4 secs. They were without their 2 starting big men - Kiesling (family reunion) and Dunagan (will play Fri-Sun). They can still win the pool but will need help. Last pool game is at 6pm Friday at Hoops.

 

With good reason, multiple coaches have been talking about several players on the Ice but focus seems to be on Fucci.

DSAS 16U won the game against Common Bond by 17 from what I saw on the board.

 

Great game between Common Bond and the United Celtics. 3 overtimes! The United Celtics won it.

Yes it is. That team looked very good yesterday. They really shot the ball very well and played great team basketball. Casey Jackson was stroking the 3 ball yesterday.

I understand that Hall is having an extremely strong summer playing point gaurd. He has increased strength and I here he is averaging nearly 20 points a game for his Shining Stars team.

Shining Stars McFarland beat Team Loyalty in the first Gold bracket round this morning by 24. They play Wisconsin Playground Warriors this afternoon.

Shining Stars Jackson lost by about 18 to Michigan Mustangs in the sweet sixteen of the gold bracket.
