The MJ we all knew and loved died years ago, one of the saddest stories in Hollywood.

 

I told a friend that yesterday, and she thought I was just being mean. I asked her if she felt the tune "PYT" was some sort of crazy foreshadowing, or just a coincidence.

Classic example of overreacting to a celebrity death (or anything else celebrity-related). It's what Americans do best. :ohbrother:

In all seriousness, it is sad. But not that big a deal. Certainly not so big a deal that an album that sold likely 25 million copies on vinyl should be selling for hundreds of dollars on e-bay.

 

On another note, I rocked out to the Jackson Five Anthology three-record set on vinyl earlier this evening, and it was cathartic. Wonder how much it would fetch on e-bay from some overreacting moron?

I have to agree. Sounds as if his life ended much like Elvis....too many narcotics. It amazes me how self destructive both men were.

I disagree with you on that one. Both men had great talent, money, connections and anything you could possibly want. Both threw it away.

 

I think it is sadder when a homeless guy, or street thug OD's. Most of them started out with nothing and ended the same.

I was just wondering, how much has been researched on the long lasting effect of extensive plastic surgery? I know that people may get a few things done here and there, but lets face it, MJ has had A LOT done! How much pain would/could that cause years down the road? Plus adding the pain of stress, Heck I know this well myself. Add that all up, how much pain was he in?

 

I watched on CNN over here where a Dr friend of MJs was talking how MJ came to him and wanting Med's, and he told him no! He also said that he would expose the drug "pushers" of the Celeb's. He was right on one thing, the most abused stuff out there is prescription Meds.

There are no long lasting effects of plastic surgery. His back pain likely is a result of his dancing over the years. Still, there had to be other options.

 

Trust me, ANYONE can abuse prescription drugs with a little imagination. Add money and fame to that and it is a very sad, open market.

I agree, this is getting played over the top too much. He was a singer and a great one but not the life changing person that the media is playing him to be. This does not affect 99% of the people's lives at all. And yet the media would have you believe that life will never be the same without Michael Jackson alive. Whitney Houston was quoted as saying she couldn't imagine life without Michael Jackson being alive.:ohbrother:

AND how many were surrounded by yes man and enablers that allowed them to be self destructive and throw their lives away to an addiction of drugs and harmful lifestyle and I harbor a guess did it so they could have a financially gravy train.
