I found some of the attendance records, KY-TN had around 3,500 or more annually at Commonwealth and Neyland.

I'm sure it did. I dont think anyone will argue that the East v. West format is better than KY v. Tn. But it appears to be the next best thing since Tennessee opted out of the series.

And of course, the NE people had their own All-Star game on the same weekend as the state basebal tournament and the softball East/West series

I know that some Louisville people are hoping to tweak the all star game. I think that they would prefer something like a 4 team round robin, with two games being played at the same location. For example Louisville region(1) vs Lexington region(2). Northern region(3) vs Western region(4). Then rotate on a yearly basis. This would allow for more kids to participate. Also, there would be a sense of regional pride and coaches selecting kids that they are familiar with. I'm sure that there are far more positive factors. If anyone has a better suggestion or can add feel free.

The best players do not get invited ,to many coachs pick their favorites and do not send the best ,people are not going to pay to watch anything but the best I no for a fact Mason counties best players have been left out the last 2 years.

As far as the Mason County comment goes, Terreance Breckinridge was on the East team and David Buchanan was on the coaching staff.

Yes I no but Jeremy Thompson was a finalist for Mr. football this year I think that qualifies him to play in the game and Jackson Tolle was a second team all-state de last year and was left off the squad ,just as Jeremy was ,both kids were the best players on the team in their respective years.
