June 12, 200917 yr Odd that he has to go 3000 miles away to get in basketball shape, hope this guy gets him in shape and not kill his body.
June 12, 200917 yr Author Odd that he has to go 3000 miles away to get in basketball shape, hope this guy gets him in shape and not kill his body. Why is it odd to want to go to a trainer that is considered the best?
June 12, 200917 yr Before I open this link I'm hoping the trainer is Tito Ortiz or somebody like that
June 12, 200917 yr Before I open this link I'm hoping the trainer is Tito Ortiz or somebody like that If Tito were training him they would be going to big bear... Not sure I'd do MMA training for basketball though. It's a great way to get in fighting shape, but not basketball shape. I could be wrong though.

I just pictured Patterson putting someone in an arm bar after diving for a loose ball, and Joe Rogan doing the games commentating.

I would much rather see him train with Fedor.....lol Seriously though, if you train for 5, 5's you are in basketball shape. Fighting and wrestling expend a ton of energy.

Fighting and wrestling take a different kind of being "in shape" than running up and down a basketball court. I was in decent running shape when I first started doing kickboxing and jiu jitsu but after about 2 minutes of hard training I felt like I might die. I'm not against doing some wrestling/fighting training, but I think the workouts should be geared towards things you do in basketball...not fighting.
June 12, 200917 yr Why is it odd to want to go to a trainer that is considered the best? I sure hope he is the best, after 8 weeks Patterson should be in monster condition. I just felt going from one coast to the other to train with the someone outside the KY program was odd to me. Don't we have a strength and condition coach? Hope he doesn't get any Jarmon like supplements.
June 12, 200917 yr This dude is supposed to be the best of the best when it comes to athletic trainers. He remains discreet and doesn't advertise his services. Athletes contact him.
