He has some game, and seems to have the attitude to go with it, so we should be seeing him in the bigs in the future. A lot of guys get hyped like this in high school and turn out career long minor leaguers, but Bryce seems to be the real deal. Has a 96 mph fastball, has hit a ball 520, and is a just a sophomore in high school. That's pretty good. Not too mention they're saying he has better bat speed then Mark McGwire in his prime. :eek:

Very impressive! Granted, the metal bats can make hitters out of "some" people that are not but that is obviously not the case with this kid. Metal bats can improve bat speed and will hit the ball further when hit squarley compared to wood but What hand/eye coordination, overall athletic ability he seems to have........A perfect swing, his fundamentals in the other drills shows he can play the game and is just a flat out great athlete. Metal bats do not give athletic ability, they improve bat speed and the ball come off the bat much faster and harder than with wood. This kid can flay out hit.......metal bat, wooden bat, wiffle ball bat, toothpick, whatever ...........he can play!:thumb::popcorn:

Good point. No one wants to see a talent go to waste like Josh Hamilton almost did. It's impossible to predict what the future will hold for this prodigy, but he definitely has the talent to make it to the bigs.

The family has decided that the kid will skip his jr and sr years of high school and immediately enter a JUCO which will mean he can be in the 2010 draft.

I read this earlier today, and I really don't know what to think of it. He'll take the test for his GED this summer, so he can start at the JUCO in August.
