That schedule is going to change. Beechwood is not playing Highlands. Beechwood is playing a schedule with the 2A group and others that left the big freshman conference that was in place last year.

They can't even play a JV schedule without playing senior on the JV team. Thats way my son quit. So I guess you all play senior against Freshman.

 

Everyone knows why your son quit and it had nothing to do with who played JV! The Raiders will have around 20 freshmen and we plan on playing 4 or 5 freshmen games. Go Get'em Raiders!

HE is a very good player with a serious set of wheels.

 

I would love to see Harlan County Freshmen and JV play some of the Northern KY teams. They are pretty good by our standards, but would love to see thme compete against the elite.

 

I guess we know more when they play Bell Co.

Was at Louisville Central today. Their varsity is not reporting to camp until Monday. With that being said, the field was packed with players. 50 freshmen are going through a 3 day camp before the older guys report. I am impressed with their turnout. Kids are now wanting to go to Central. Good luck this season.

It seems that the Highlands freshman schedule is still a work in progress but I understand that now they have added Louisville St. X @ Highlands on Aug. 29 as the season opener and that the Beechwood and Lex Cath games (the latter of which had been plugged into the Oct. 22 open date above) have gone off the earlier tentative schedule. I expect it is still the case that they have moved the Boone Co. game up to Sept 2 to avoid the conflict with the Highlands varsity game clash with Beechwood on Thursday Sept 3 although perhaps it might move back a few days now if the Beechwood freshman date is open to avoid playing the Boone Co game so close to the St. X game. I don't have the final schedule and am not sure if it even is finalized but I am sure someone more in the know than me will correct this or post it when it is.

Not true. Beechwood will have a freshman team. The numbers are lower than normal like happens at times in a small school. This year's senior class at Beechwood has only 8 or 9 players and those guys are all wearing two championship rings. There will be a freshman team.

 

Have been told these kids will play JR Varsity.

As to schedule, Beechwood is going to be part of the freshman 2A and others group that is branching off from the big school conference. That is supposed to include the 2A schools (Lloyd, Holy Cross, Newport and NewCath along with Holmes, Scott and perhaps Cooper). I still haven't seen the final schedule but that is where things are supposed to be going.

We've got the Scott Freshmen schedule and Beechwood is on it.

I would have liked to have seen Cooper with the "big schools" instead of the 2A. They have a little over 30 kids showing up each day and next year will be playing Boone, Conner and Ryle anyway. You can't go off of last years Freshman record because every year is a completely different team. This years Cooper freshman team is very talented and we think will have a lot of success. On defense their two corners, two safety's and two linebackers were all linebackers their entire pee-wee career and will be fun to watch as they all love to hit.

 

Does anyone know if a new Freshman schedule is out yet as we were supposed to play Scott and Holmes twice and now I hear that may not be true.

Just a quick comment, the frosh rocks will be worth going to see, even if you aren't a Trinity fan.

John Hardin looks like they will have one heck of a freshman team.
