I am just disappointed that the Frankfort Cable provider doesn't offer MSNBC so I don't get to see what everyone is whining about.

The information in this thread is very sad and I'm not talking about Palin's comments either. Just very sad and disappointing. And if any of you have to ask what I think is sad and disappointing, me pointing it out won't help or matter.

The whole witch doctor thing is being blown way out of proportion. The lady is from Alaska. The state is made up of tons of different tribes of "natives", and most of these tribes believe in witch doctors. They are part of the state's history and culture, I have no problem with her having one speak at her church or whatever it is she had them do.

Well, this wasn't a cultural education day. This was a "pastor" laying hands on her asking for help for her against witchcraft. She has given this witch doctor credit in the past for her success in government.

 

Now, if you can show me that she has had other "tribes" or cultures in her church laying hands on her and praying against witchcraft or anything else that seems out of the mainstream then I'll buy your theory.

Have you ever watched the video? Lots of references "in the name of Jesus Christ" in it. Didn't look much different than many Sunday services I've been to. It did, in fact, seem much more mainstream than video I've seen of Obama's former pastor.

I've never heard of a minister/pastor/priest praying about witchcraft. Add in that this loon has accused women of being witches in Africa then add in that he gets credit from Palin for her success in government and we have not a case of her welcoming in local tribes or customs but , rather, something that is outside of the norm in regards to Christianity.

 

And if we want to bring in Obama and Rev Wright to the discussion you and I both know this board would have been filled with threads condemning both.

By no means is he normal but there are certainly plenty out there like him. He reminds me very much of some Baptist preachers I've listened to. Not sure if that's a positive or a negative though.
