It is really unusual for a leftwing supporter-rightwing trasher such as you to be unfamiliar with your "leaders". If you were familiar with them, you might be a little easier on Palin and those who, like her, fear for the future of traditional beliefs in this country.

But, in either case, witch doctors are merely a distraction from more serious issues of morals and beliefs. She is a working mother who did not pay enough attention to her daughter to know that she was having sex with her boyfriend, or ignored it and did not teach her about birth control, or would rather her have unprotected sex than to be knowledgeable. She does not read any daily newspapers and is less familiar with world affairs than 90% of the people on this board. she was mean and hateful on the trail and to me that is not a traditional Christian belief What does she really offer. I generally don't, actually I never agree with you, but I agree on this point. Sarah Palin should NOT be the new poster child for a the republican party. She might be a great bit-player later on when she is more experienced and ready for prime time but not yet and not now.

I'm sure you approved of BO at ND so why not a witch doctor in a Christian Church? After all, BO says we need to have open dialogue and to expand our understanding of others and their viewpoints. I imagine God is relieved to have you available to judge Palin so that He will be relieved of that duty. Do you apply your harshness to any others? I'm not advocating Palin as the next president. However, I am advocating her as a woman who should be allowed to speak her mind. She is not perfect. Who is perfect? Even BO is far from perfect. Still, she is a refreshing change from all the "modern females" with "modern beliefs" (After all, we are told, this is the 21st Century- whatever that is supposed to prove). I believe the greatness, or what is left of the greatness, of this country was built on the backs of women like Palin and not Pelosi.
May 18, 200917 yr Sarah Palin is not ready to be our president or vice president. John McCain made a mistake in picking her. IMO that is clear. But I do think she is a very intelligent person who has done some wonderful things in government and seems to have great morals. Judging her based on a mistake made by her daughter is wrong IMO. I hope my parents aren't judged solely based on some of the bad decisions I made when I was a teenager. Basically I understand saying she isn't presidential or what not. But to say she is unintellegent and demean her is over the top IMO.

May 18, 200917 yr It is what it is. If I am voting for or against her I have to discern (judge) her qualifications. I did not judge whether or not she was going to heaven or hell or wherever as WY suggested - passed no judgment there at all. I more think the greatness of this country was build on the backs of women like my mother, who made sacrifices to make sure that my life was better, not hers.
