All things being equal I would agree with you, but as it stands she is among the front runners for the GOP for their next nominee for President and has a significant following among the party. Whether you agree with it or not, that is enough to put her in the limelight.

Some will remember that several months before Palin was announced as a surprise VP candidate, I predicted she would be nominated and lamented it. I still do. I like Sarah Palin, I'm sure she's a fine person, she brougth some energy to a dead campaign, but was mere provender when we needed a delectable stew.

 

However, in this interview she simply comes out in support of Carrie Prejean. The 1st Amendment portion of the statement is vacuous but harmless, the rest of it is fine. So what?

During the campaign, the current president said he had visited all but 2 of the 58 states, and you want to bust her chops over something like this. Anything to discredit someone the left is afraid of. You and your motives are as transparent as Saran Wrap.

I must have missed the liberal who came out in favor of gay marriage an then had their private medical records released to the public. I also missed the liberal plumber who came out in support of Obama and then had his private government records searched looking for dirt.

 

I don't dispute that people on the right we come out against people on the left, but it seems that recent history seems to indicate that the far left stoops to underhanded tactics more often than the far right.

As a long-time voter of the Republican ticket, I can't imagine that in 2012 there aren't actual qualified candidates v someone who invokes the 1st amendment when it doesn't apply and whose only assets are nice legs and a pretty face.

As far as Valerie Plame affair, the facts in that case (as near as I can tell) say that the idea that it was a poltical dirty trick is a myth.

Come on , Shooter. This lady can't even speak intelligently about the law of the land. She was thrust upon this country and turned into a phenomenon and she has proven that she's not ready for prime time.

Perhaps it is getting down to semantics- or you are being sarcastic- but I'd say not knowing A) when FDR took office B) who was President during the stock market crash and C) that television was hardly invented at this time, reveals a stunning lack of intelligence, especially among our elected officials.

 

On the other hand- and this holds true for both Gov. Palin and VP Biden- taking a few comments from an individual whose every word is documented is not the best way to look at overall intelligence. Maybe since we do personally know these people, it is our only choice, but you can go back far enough in the Boys' Basketball forums and find me talking about how CovCath had an awesome JV center a few years back- but that doesn't mean I'm conceited, does it? :lol:

So, you honestly believe that he didn't know how many states we have?

 

I have a bachelors degree in chemistry. I accidently confused hydrogen and helium in lecture one day last week. Does this indicate that I don't know anything about the very basics of chemistry? Or is it possible that I just made a mistake?
