formerkywrestler Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 What are everyones thoughts on it? Bunning still seems like a man with every intention of running. Rand Paul and Trey Grayson both seem very interested in making a run. And I am sure the DNC is going to POUR money to their candidate in this race with hopes of picking up another seat. Should be a very exciting race.
2 Humped Camel Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I think you could see Bunning and Grayson split the NKY vote and Paul or Williams winning the primary. If Grayson decides to challenge in a primary which he has indicated he will not.
PepRock01 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Bunning is a moron and needs to accept the fact that he will get destroyed in a G.E. and needs to step down if he wants to help his party.
AirYardGo Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I will be happy voting for Jim Bunning next year, it is my first year eligible to vote.
bjim Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Bunning is a moron and needs to accept the fact that he will get destroyed in a G.E. and needs to step down if he wants to help his party. This is a pretty harsh statement to be making with no viable evidence to fortify your claims.
bjim Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I think you could see Bunning and Grayson split the NKY vote and Paul or Williams winning the primary. If Grayson decides to challenge in a primary which he has indicated he will not. This is why he wont challenge Bunning.
All Tell Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I will vote for Bunning over either Mongiardo or Conway.
Hearsay Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I think you could see Bunning and Grayson split the NKY vote and Paul or Williams winning the primary. If Grayson decides to challenge in a primary which he has indicated he will not. Trey is considering a run. He has formed an exploratory committee. I sent some money. Trey is an excellent candidate, he said he wasn't interested a year ago, but I think Bunning's most recent behavior has caused him to reconsider.
16th62nd Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I won't vote for Bunning over anyone, the man has lost it. I just don't believe he is capable of fulfilling his duties anymore. This has nothing to do with political party affiliation, I feel the same way about Robert Byrd of WV.
Bandit29 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 But, Bunning has a strong right arm. Byrd is a crazy old man.
Pirate Pride Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Probably doesn't matter how strong a candidate the Republicans put up if Obama stays popular. As I think it was stated earlier, the DNC is gonna buy this one IMO.
Covercorner Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Trey is considering a run. He has formed an exploratory committee. I sent some money. Trey is an excellent candidate, he said he wasn't interested a year ago, but I think Bunning's most recent behavior has caused him to reconsider. IMO, Trey is probably the best overall candidate, and if he becomes the Republican candidate, McConnell will bring the resources in a more enthusiasic way than if it were Bunning. Of course, if Obama still has high performace ratings, and the economy gets a little better, that may help pull the strings for any Dem candidate against Grayson.
Bandit29 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Its looking good for 2010 with the way things are quickly headed.
GO CATS Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 The Republican party better hope Trey Greyson runs because Jim Bunning doesn't stand a chance. Wasn't Jim Bunning voted the least compitent U.S. Senator by Rolling Stone magizine a couple of years ago? I look for a Greyson-Conway race in the general election and it should be a highly contested race.
