April 30, 200917 yr I over Arods steroid use. I wish it would just go away. I am tired of the whole steroid thing with baseball. The way I look at it is baseball screwed up back then, and its in the past now. Its baseballs own fault for not having a rule in place back then and having better testing in place. I mean there is basically still no way to prove that someone did use in the past, people can just deny it and usually wont be able to prove that they are lying. Not to mention I am sure that there probably are a ton of more guys out there who used steroids at one time or another who just didn't happen to get caught or have their name put out there. Its not fair that those guys would be able to get away from this either. Baseball needs to just take responsibility for it and realize that it was their own fault. There is no reason to keep digging in the past for these things. They have realized that they screwed up and put things in place now to try to prevent steroids. So just time to forget about the past and move on. I am tired of it all.
April 30, 200917 yr I agree. To me it's on baseball as much or more than it is any player. There was no rules against it so they didn't break the rules. Players knew most were taking them so I think there was a lot of pressure to keep up or get left behind. Keep up and make more money than you could ever imagine.... don't keep up and you are probably finding a new job. I think there are more that were on them than we will ever know. The guys that were clean got the shaft as did those who are out of baseball that couldn't keep up. I'm kind of over it all. It was fun watching the HR's...it got old wondering who was on Roids. I am just glad I can watch baseball now and feel like almost everybody is probably clean other than supplements.
April 30, 200917 yr Pitcher is on juice pitches to a player on the same stuff equals out, move on. MLB needed a better testing system. ARod is clean now and is wanting to get ready to play, forget the record let Hank keep it. Pitcher still has to throw the ball over the plate and the hitter has to make contact. :deadhorse:

April 30, 200917 yr No one on here is bashing Barry/Raphel/Sammy/Mark/Jose are they and when have you seen any lately? Nope just the Yankee and it just keeps going.
April 30, 200917 yr I can't answer that of course, I'd like to see MLB do a better job of testing and when this first came up years ago they dragged their feet. I've seen pictures of Barry/Mark/Jose back in the 90s and its nite and day on their bods. If ARod is still using he is just stupid. But I wonder why we still see players getting caught in the minors?

Cause they want to get to the majors? Might as well level the playing field for themselves.

Nope just the Yankee and it just keeps going. How many of those guys still play? How many have been caught lying this year about their use? How many used in high school? How many tipped off opposing players pitches what their teammates were pitching. Anyone who defends him right now deserves him. He is the biggest joke of an athlete fraud there has ever been in the history of the world. I mean to let other teams know what your pitchers are throwing should build up brownie points in the clubhouse.
May 1, 200917 yr So, Barry Bonds is a loser but AROD is awesome? To me it is all about Barry's attitude. I liked him when he was a Pirate without the ego. I'm not a Bonds fan at all but there are two things about him for me: 1. Steroids or not he was locked in like nobody I've ever seen. He broke Babe Ruth's walk record so it would be scary what his numbers would have been like if he had been pitched too...when he was pitched too it was amazing how he stayed focused and killed everything! 2. I once watched somebody filming all the media that surrounded him everyday and how they treated him. I always thought he was a jerk to the media but after seeing that I realized I had no idea what his normal day was like. Hundreds of cameras in his face trying to push him to the limit to break at times. They also hounded his family.
May 1, 200917 yr This is a totally different set of circumstances. Both A-Roid and his supporters tried to lead us to believe that he has been clean since before he joined the Yankees. Remember what you said when the steroid allegations originally came out--its in the 2nd quote. Well it looks like it was more than just having an injury and that he knew he wasn't clean. The more and more things come to light about A-Roid the more and more I'm glad that the Red Sox weren't able to complete that trade for him back in 2003. I'd much rather play against him than to have him on my team. Was Big Poppy on them? He sure has turned to pot since everybody started getting busted... he has also had trouble staying healthy since then.... I don't see how anybody can act like they know who was on them and who wasn't! Do you honestly in your heart think there were no Red Sox players juicing?
May 1, 200917 yr But I wonder why we still see players getting caught in the minors? Do they have 250 million dollars sitting around to invest into finding new undetectable steroids... Doubt it

May 1, 200917 yr ARod is trying to move on past his high school days, you people won't let him. What do you want him to do. He made a mistake and disapponted a lot of fans. I fought hard for him on here before his latest admission, but when do we move on?
