May 3, 200917 yr I was trying to insinuate that I was kidding around with most of my last post, I didn't mean for it to sound aggressive at all. I think Anderson vs. Mousasi would be a good fight that I'd love to see. Apparently Dana White has said he is about to sign a middleweight that will blow everyone's mind, or I think that's how he put it. Maybe it will be someone who will give Silva some good comp. at mw. Are you talking about Yoshihiro Akiyama? He won the DREAM Middleweight GP and has wins over Manhoef, Denis Kang, and a no contest with Sakuraba. His only loss was to Jerome LeBanner, who is much larger and a K-1 champion.
May 3, 200917 yr Do we have a yawning smiley? Vitor looks dominant when facing inferior competition, but almost always loses when he steps up a level. Belfort isn't going to be the guy who provided "competition" for Anderson Silva. :thumb:

That would be cool, he'd have to win a couple before he gets a shot at Anderson tho. He would be a solid addition.
May 4, 200917 yr Belfort has looked good in his last two outings. His knockout of Matt Lindland at the last Affliction show was brutal. However, I don't think he can beat Silva. It is going to take a great wrestler with a great chin to beat Silva.
May 4, 200917 yr Belfort might not be able to beat Anderson Silva, but I'd like to see that fight. :thumb: I'll agree with that. I'd like to see it.
May 4, 200917 yr How old is Belfort now? He is just 32. He has a chin, strong in BJJ, good striker, and is a descent wrestler. When his head was on straight he wasn't called "The Phenom" for nothing. Vitor, Manhouf, and Mousasi are all rumored to be who is signing.
May 4, 200917 yr Author I really would like to see Vitor. He was a stone cold killer when he wanted to be. I'm not saying that he would beat Spider, but he has looked really good in his last couple of fights. It would at least be interesting.
